2021 Operating Gifts
We are excited to announce our 2021 operating gifts to the following organizations. Each organization was selected by one of our Board Members or staff after careful research to recommend an agency whose work benefits children and youth and aligns with TriBraining’s mission to reach and teach all learners.
Chicago HOPES for Kids provides educational support for children who reside in homeless shelters by providing them with “the resources and encouragement needed to succeed academically, despite the challenges of homelessness.”
Evanston History Center collects, preserves, and interprets the rich history of the City of Evanston and all its people through exhibits, educational programs, and research facilities. The History Center is housed in the former home of Vice President Charles Gates Dawes who served under Calvin Coolidge.
Institute for Therapy through the Arts provides customized creative arts therapies to individuals of all ages, couples and families through art, dance/movement, drama, and music. ITA also provides professional development opportunities and presentations for mental health professionals, clients, caregivers/family members, and students.
Midnight Golf provides a comprehensive system of support and resources to eliminate barriers to student success and equip “determined young adults through life skills training, proactive coaching, long-term mentoring and the discipline of golf in order to succeed in college, in their careers and beyond.”
Special Gifts Theatre fosters “self-confidence, social, speech and language skills in individuals with disabilities, using educational and therapeutic techniques with the stage as the platform, integrating creativity and fun.”
2020 Award Recipients
Project Grants: Through our project grants, TriBraining collaborates directly with museums, non-profit organizations, libraries, educational institutions, and others to develop programs and activities to benefit diverse learners. Recipients: Evanston History Center, Mitchell Museum of the American Indian

Past Foundation Work
Antaeus Theatre (Glendale, CA) - TriBraining provided funding to support an 8-week Shakespeare workshop for incarcerated teenage boys.
Chicago Public Library - TriBraining provided funding to support a variety of initiatives with the Thomas Hughes Children's Room at the Harold Washington Library including a collaborative cross-city movie-making program for tweens and the building of Laura's Puppet Place, a unique puppet stage to honor the memory of a former CPL children's librarian.
