Special Projects: Where Vision Meets Action

Our special projects go beyond the scope of our traditional programs and foundation work. Designed to explore new possibilities, tackle unique challenges, and seize emerging opportunities, these initiatives drive lasting change in innovative ways. Often developed in collaboration with other organizations and leaders, they are hands-on and tailored to achieve specific, impactful goals.

I hope you like the book. I'm quite honored to share my story with you!

Call Me Charley (2025)

Our first bookThe book CALL ME CHARLEY brings Charles Gates Dawes to life - from his early years to his remarkable achievements as Vice President, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, businessman, and philanthropist. The narrative interweaves historical context with personal anecdotes, and includes photographs, caricatures, and historical documents to enrich the storytelling that brings the era to life. From an educational perspective, the book serves as a valuable resource, particularly for students and history enthusiasts seeking to explore the life of a lesser-known but significant political figure who emphasized the importance of service and leadership.Contact us to purchase locally, or click HERE.

Since the launch of this book, Charley has been on quite an adventure!

He made his debut at the Dawes House in Evanston on the 100th anniversary of his VP inauguration. From there, his story traveled to Dawes School, where Evanston fifth graders each received a copy of CALL ME CHARLEY. Using what they learned about him, students collaborated with their school librarian to create their own digital stories. Thanks to a generous grant from the Tawani Foundation, TriBraining was able to distribute more books free of charge to Dawes School fifth graders, Evanston-Skokie Consolidated School District 65 librarians, and local libraries. An additional 40 copies were also shared with Illinois state legislators. Interested in Charley coming to your school or library? Contact us!

Puppet Activity Stage (2024)

TriBraining, Inc., collaborated with the Laundry Literacy Program, the Cook County Department of Corrections (CCDOC), and the talented students of Northwestern University School of Engineering's Segal Design School internship program to design and build a puppet and activity stage for families visiting their loved ones incarcerated at the CCDOC. Working together in all areas of the project - from researching, studying stage design,  evaluating structural options, and even making puppets, the artistic and engineering vision came to life!
